Please try adding this to your theme’s functions.php or a custom plugin:

Will you fix it with the next plugin update, or musst i have this snippet forever in my functions.php?

It seems your custom template is not using the amp-wp-article-content class on the element around the content:

I believe that is why it is not working by default.
