The theme you are using is not compatible with the GPL as it imposes 3rd party links in the footer and there appears to be functionality to knobble the theme if the spammy link is removed.

There are plenty of theme that honour the WordPress licensing.

What are you talking about? Why do you care what he has in his footer or what license his theme has? Either give him an answer or don’t!

text-align:center!important;

to your body and html properties.

Parasitic products that do not comply with the terms of the GPL are not promoted here. Themes that have kill code if footer links are removed would never make it onto the www.remarpro.com theme directory.

I don’t think you are helping this user by sending the message that its OK to use a non-GPL theme that imposes spammy links in the footer that cannot be easily removed.

Many people don’t know, understand or care what the GPL is. That’s fine but this license protects the developers and users. Themes where the developer has abused the license and distributed derivative code ignoring the required terms of the license it should inherit are not supported on this site.

The free themes offered here on www.remarpro.com have been checked by the theme review team. Many 3rd Party sites such as the one where the OP got theirs make their money by selling unremovable backlinks on their free themes. Who knows if they’re also inserting backdoors & selling access to exploitable sites as well? I have seen cases of this happening in the past. By discouraging people from using free themes from dodgy sites it is protecting those users from possible problems later on.
