Ah, thanks for the link. Because this is a responsive theme, the image in the showcase and/or header area such as this, will automatically resize based on the viewing browser window dimensions. It will do what is called relative sizing based on the width.

When I looked at your image separately, I see it’s 1175 x 150 pixels, but it should be a bit taller. You may want to make your image something like 1175 x 225 or similar…enough space above and below the image subject content so that the curved graphic when it overlays the bottom part of your image, will have enough space to not overlap or cover the subject matter in the image.
