  • Hello,

I don’t see the issue, can you contact us via https://optimole.com/#contact and maybe provide us with more details on how we could replicate the bug.

It looks like the height might not be computed properly from looking at the URL, if you use the generic placeholder you can try to toggle that on or off and see if it improves things for you.

But do get in touch with us so we can track and take a better look at this.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

I have the same problem, if a small screen device create a small version on an image, then big screen device uses the same small version and that results in a small / blurred image.

I have a lot of extensions so that’s maybe incompatibility issue ?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We would need to check, you can send us more details about the website where you are encountering this issues via https://optimole.com/#contact

It may be related to this plugin, still testing:

    Fast Velocity Minify

Its not that plugin. It seems to be related to the browser cache. when browser caches, it does it. When browser caching is prevented, it does not do it.

    Hello,

I’ve checked from Chrome, Firefox, Edge and IE11 from different locations and OS’s. I don’t see the issue, I think it is something cached local by you, can you try to clear local cache for your browser, or try a different one.

Also can you send us some information about the OS and browser you are using?

    Thank you!

This is concerning that this thread was marked resolved when there is no resolution. This exact same issue happenend on my site. Very, very frustrating. A 555px x 555px photo, crystal clear, outputted using PhotoShop “Save To Web” JPEG High was saved as 34kb. Uploaded to my site, opened Chrome Incognito, the now 115px x 115px (per Elementor Testimonial Carousel widget Style settings) looked stunning – crystal clear. Including in Incognito on my phone.

Wait a minute, let Optimole do its thing.

Close Incognito. Re-open it. Both on desktop and mobile, the 555px x 555px photo was resized to 27px x 27px (!). And then loaded as a 115px x 115px photo, making it EXTREMELY blurry.

For Googlers out there that stumble upon this. The resolution? Turned off Optimole in Optimole settings. Wait a minute and re-test. Bam. Everything is crystal clear.

I’ll be looking elsewhere for image optimzation.

    Hello @sflpbp,

Thank you for your thorough research regarding this possible issue.

May I know which is the site URL where do you face the issue?

Would love to check this out and see what could be the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hi @optimole

Thank you for a quick reply – I wasn’t expecting that. I sent a private email via my Optimole Dashboard.

I’ll keep this thread updated for other Googlers.

    Thanks

I’d like to edit my last reply. Optimole reached out to me and we’ve had multiple emails back and forth. I’m not sure what was causing the issue exactly, but it wasn’t on their end. I also re-uploaded the photos to twice the resolution (good for Retina), so for a 1115px x 115px photo I Photoshopped it “Save for Web” at 330px x 330px. Maybe Optimole just takes some time to process images. Either way, images are clear and no issues. Thank you! ??

I just want to add another praise for OptiMole here. We have had a few emails back and forth even since my last email. A couple small tweaks in my settings fixed everything right up (e.g. enable Retina Images, as gallery images on my Android Pixel 4xl were slightly blurry). For other Googlers that stumble upon this thread, Optimole is king! It really is great, and supported by some great passionate people.

Happy to hear that we sorted out, @sflpbp !

    Enjoy it!
