CDN – protocol relative URLs not supported?

  • It looks like the search/replace functionality for CDN skips over everything that isn’t protocol specific.

    //site.com/wp-content/themes/whatever.jpg doesn’t get rewritten
    /wp-content/themes/whatever.jpg doesn’t get rewritten

    I feel like they should be. Is there anything I’m missing about this or is a patch welcome here?
