    Hi

I have just spent most of the morning trying to intergrate CDN

I have used the W3 Total Cache plugin.

    I have followed these steps
    https://support.stackpath.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001078983

And I can see that CDN is referenced in my page source code

So looks like it has been configured ok (and this is the month free trial).

My page speeed was 3.6 secs and now its 3.4. Seems negligible for all the work.

I am trying everything I can read about to get the speed improved but nothing is working.

Unless …..do I have to wait for a while for the CDN to work?

Slowly but surely losing patience with the whole process!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi

I just disabled CDN via Stackpath.

I then enabled it via Bluehost (free, one click).

    Page load now 2.9secs!

As it says on their website, it can take one to seven days for your site to reflect the performance improvements of a CDN.

Yes. But as soon as I disabled it and enabled the Bluehost CDN i imediately saw results.

I have no idea what the proves or disproves.

The idea here is that it might take time for CDN to work at its full potential.

May I ask which flavour of CDN do you use?

    My experience this morning:

The Bluehost option – one click, free.

The Stackpath took a lot of time for me to configure and (I just realised) broke all my pages and so the fotoscopic.com page became fotoscopic.com/content

I can’t recommend any CDN at this time. The general rule of thumb is to use the one that has better documentation and is easier to set up (and get rid of, in case set up goes south).

    Hello
Just to update, I installed Clouldflare and W3 today with no errors
Sadly the load rate has not improved, if anything its slower
So will sit and wait and see cheers.

Today, site speed is still 3.0sec, but Cloudflare is now showing a lot of caching, so at least that is working and CDN is “working” as I can see that on the Cloudflare dash

SO I will close this now, even though I have seen zero improvement, CDN is “working”
