I run a multilingual site with 4 languages. For a particular page, I had 3 out of 4 languages done myself and wanted to try the translation service offered by this plugin for the 4th language. To test it, I tried the “qTranslate Services Test” which is supposed to show you how it works …. well … and how it worked: when I clicked on “Request Translation” this plugin wiped the entire page from my database, i.e. all the other 3 languages which I had done myself already had been wiped clean! The page came up empty on my site in all languages. Fortunately I had a recent backup to restore the database, but man … hands off this plugin!

I am really sorry about your trouble, @olliontheroad, although I did not observe that much trouble in my testing done a few weeks back.

We never did anything with translation services, they are inherited from the original author. We are currently running a survey to find out the destiny of this feature, and, so far, it looks like the majority of people do not want it. We will count your vote against of it too.

Starting from 3.1 ‘qTranslate Service’ is disabled.
