Just upgraded to 3.2 and it broke my theme.

The featured slider on the homepage fails to load any of its images, and also a news ticker fails to run. I’m thinking it’s some type of script conflict?

I narrowed it down to just The Events Calendar, and also, it creates the problem even if I:
    -disable and clear cache
-remove all calendar widgets from theme settings/sidebars
-have only TEC and no other plugins active
-Remove / delete / uninstall TEC and install fresh

Any ideas on how to further diagnose or how to fix the problem? Thanks.

I’ve disabled the plugin so my site can run normally in the meantime. TXMMA.com

Or, how do I download the prior version (which worked fine, only 3.2 causes this issue).? Thank you

Actually I found 3.1 and installed it and I can confirm that 3.1 to 3.2 breaks my theme and the front page featured story slider, and the news ticker that is on all my pages.

The issue is only with 3.2. No previous version ever caused this problem. Any insights as to what changed between 3.1 and 3.2 that would interfere in this way? Thanks.

It sounds like an issue with tag archives (many sliders also leverage post tags, hence the connection) and you may be able to resolve it by adding the following snippet to your theme’s functions.php file – note that the opening <?php tag is generally unnecessary.

That said, we hope to fix this in our next maintenance release if you prefer to wait a little longer.
