I love this plugin. I have had it for some time. I been having problems, but I use a lot of plugins on a MultiSite install -it took a while to isolate. It only effects the site it is activated in – connection errors.

I created a new subsite to use Qwizcards to avoid plugin conflicts. The same thing still happens:

It is clear that when I activate Qwizcards the site it is activated on grinds slowly to a stop. If I am working on a page/post on that site I get “connection error… – saving post in browser…”. If I try to move within the site, the page/post tries to load and I will eventually get “database connection error”.

This is premature to post. I admit – I do have network activated plugins. It will be a messy hassle to deactivate/activate the network ones. I will deactivate the unimportant ones first.

Either way – I’d inform you of the issue. Whether I figured it out or not. So I will post this thread.

    Thank you.

    I am doing it now.
Done! Only JetPack and Askimet are network activated.

    Hi,
I need to deactivate the network plugins, then you can work. I can work on different sites or no? I don’t need the network plugins tonight.

I will deactivate and check back here in a bit…done. All clear.

Hi Dan, great to hear that you found a fix. Is this something that we could also implement, or should we wait for the fix in the new release? I’m using your plugin to develop a language literacy site: https://anl108.community.uaf.edu/flashcards/ and am eager to get it up and working. Thank you so much!

    It’s a pretty easy fix.

Network Admin > Plugins > Editor. Search for Qwizcards, edit the file qwiz-online-quizzes-wp-plugin.php

Near the bottom of the file are two instances of “get_site_option” that should be changed to “get_option”.

Remember to click “Update”, and should be good!

Dan, thank you. I just followed your instructions on our development site, and that fix appears to work: https://anl108.communitydev.uaf.edu/flashcards/

The site did hang for several minutes after I clicked the “activate” button, so I got worried, since that was the behavior it had been exhibiting earlier. But I closed that window and loaded the site in a separate one, and a few other browsers, and it showed up just fine. Thanks, and keep up the excellent work.
