Caused break of the website

  • Hummingbird plugin cause a major issue with my website. Using the advanced functions caused the problem. I was expecting that reverting the changes or deactivating the changes would solve the issue but it doesn’t. Uninstalling then reinstalling the theme does not change the issue either. I might have to change completely WordPress acccount to use the same theme.
    And the simple functions of the plugin did not lead to any significant improvement of the score of my website in Google Page Speed.
    I would advise you to stay away from Hummingbird plugin.

    We really appreciate the time for writing this review. Although I see you have not created a thread with us so we could help to resolve this issue.

    I would like to note, that Asset Optimization options are not permanent and can be deactivated/reset. Especially if the plugin is deactivated on your site, Asset Optimization is no longer active and all assets reset to their original state. Based on your description the issue is coming from elsewhere.

    You need to be careful when using advanced options in Asset Optimization, as not all assets can be optimized. It depends on how they were developed in a first-place and with a combination of the assets that are coming from other plugins/theme. Options need to be enabled for one file at a time and make sure that the front is working well, after this continue to the next file.

    If you still need assistance with the issue you have, please open a new thread in our forums so we could troubleshoot it.
