Category & Tag Indexing not following settings?

    I have several sites running SEO Framework 2.8.2, and for some reason, some category & tag settings aren’t following what I set them to be.

    I have several categories and all tags that are supposed to be noindex,nofollow,noarchive but are instead coming up with the rainbow indicator bar, with confusing information.

    For instance on one tag I have yellow TG, red DG, and a blue “IFA”… but the message for “I” says “Tag is being indexed but Indexing for Pages have been discouraged”… and this is when I’ve checked all three boxes in the tag SEO settings… the same for several new categories.

    Older categories and tags that existed on the site before upgrading to 2.8.0 don’t have this problem… I have all three boxes checked in the tag settings and we the expected solid blue “I” for the SEO indicator bar.

    So, short version, categories & tags created with those noindex settings are fine, newer ones are not.

    Hi @fpmsummer,

    Thanks for the bug report!

    I’ve escalated it by putting it on GitHub:
    Issue 92

    This bug doesn’t affect the front-end output (which abides to the settings), but I truly understand the inconvenience.

    This will be fixed in the upcoming version, be it 2.8.3 or 2.9.0 ??
    Unfortunately, I have no ETA yet.
