category-slug.php not overriding index.php

    I have created a page named category-webdesign.php and created a category with the slug webdesign and the page does not override index.php.

    Anyway I can get it to override index.php?

    I have also created posts which I have added to the category “webdesign” and when I select preview changes a page identical to index.php comes up.

    Found out that I wasnt connecting through /category/webdesign
