Category query not rendering all category posts

I have a set of posts that are clicked to a particular category, but do not appear when that category is queried in the Cubic theme.

Here is an example:

https://www.michaeljkramer.net/when-offstage-goes-off-track/ is a post that renders fine. It shows up in a search query on my site. BUT despite being selected for category Culture Rover – Promiscuous Cultural Criticism, it does not render in the query of that category: see, https://www.michaeljkramer.net/category/culture-rover/. It should show up between the posts Hug It Out and Journeys to Big Rock Candy Mountain, but it doesn’t.

Similarly, it does not render under the tags selected for it:

https://www.michaeljkramer.net/tag/dance-culture/.

There is a set of posts displaying this behavior. They are published, render fine as posts, and are linked to the proper category and tag, but do not appear on the front end when the category or tag is queried.

Any advice? Is it a plug in issue? Permalink issue? Cubic issue? WP issue? I’m confounded.

PS and even more puzzling, some of the posts with two category selections render perfectly in one category but not in the other! For instance,

https://www.michaeljkramer.net/are-you-experienced-jimi-hendrix-the-countercultural-politics-of-the-uncategorizable/

Renders fine in category Republic of Rock Blog:

https://www.michaeljkramer.net/category/the-republic-of-rock-blog/

But it does not appear in the other category for which it is selected:

https://www.michaeljkramer.net/category/culture-rover/

Any notion why this is occurring?
