Category Query in Twnety Twelve

I have created a new theme, base on Twenty Twelve, and I want to change the sort order of a specific category.
I copied category.php to category-about.php, and I have read how to change the sort order of the query, but the query doesn’t exist in the category page, nor can I find it in any other page.
Where is the query before The Loop in Twenty Twelve, and ho wcan I change it for just this category?
