Category Posts Widget – Broken in WP 2.6

  • we’re having troubles too with this plugin. We use it as a widget for each category on the sidebar and, since the upgrade to WordPress 2.6, it stopped listing post titles on the home page, which is set to category 1. Have tried using WP_Query with no success.

    What happened to Category Posts? How can it be solved?

    Hi, this is the developer. I tried it on a fresh WP 2.6 installation and it worked fine.

    I’m not aware of any changes in WP 2.6 that would cause Category Posts to break… Maybe another plugin is conflicting with it. What other plugins do you have activated?

    Found it (I think). After disabling Simply Exclude your plugin Category Posts Widget starts to display the correct category again. Maybe they’re both doing the same thing? Unfortunately I need both plugins, so hopefully you’re able to work out some magic ??
