Category pointing to wrong template

I am stymied. I have a category template. All of my category pages are pointing to the correct template except for one.

I can’t even figure out which template that other one is pointing to. I don’t have any custom category templates. (I have two single custom templates but not within this category)

A related problem — the single page it’s pointing to seems to be incorrect as well.

this should have the featured image on the right side and it doesn’t.

Again the only time these issues are occurring are with this one category.

While I’m not necessarily expecting an answer, can anyone advise on a way to figure out what’s going on? I would be very grateful.
