Category Podcasting, changing category name, url and proper way to redirect?

Hi,

I’m in the midst of a rebranding and changing the name of my podcast. That part is pretty straightforward to me, but using category podcasting and changing the category name and slug on my site seems like something fraught with peril!

My media is hosted at libsyn, so no media urls will need to be updated.

I’ve come up with the following steps based on what I’ve read in the forums, but could you let me know if I’m missing anything or have something out of order – or if this is totally wrong?

Here’s the steps I think I should take:

1. Edit all the “Podcast Settings for Category” that I’m able to – name, image, etc.
2. Go to my actual wordpress category setting – change the name and slug for that category
3. Redirect the old category url to the new one
4. redirect the old category FEED url to the new one (do you recommend a plugin or htaccess only?)
5. under podcast settings for category, verify that the feed url under destinations is correct
6. Go to iTunes connect and change the url there to the new one as well

Voila?
