category pages not found After enabling Romanian language
-
Hello,
After enabling Romanian language a category URL like this:
https://domain.com/wordpress/product-category/bio/chocolate/become translated:
https://domain.com/wordpress/categorie-produs/bio/chocolateand it shows “page not found”.
Because the product-category slug is translated.
I have found a solution here:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/8122But it was not easy.
Having this translation causes only confusion.
If someone wants to have a slug different from the default, there is a way to do it in the Permalinks.
If you install WordPress in default (en_US) locale, install WooCommerce and then switch language – you get 404s.
Permalinks should stay English in the code, and people should use Settings to change them for SEO purpose.Stanislav
