On my blog, I have setup different categories for all my posts. From the main menu I can open up (for example) kimdrew.de/category/travel. Is there any way to use/reach kimdrew.de/category so that I can create a page with all my categories and mark this as cornerstone content? Right now if I go on to categories in my WordPress backend, I am only able to create new categories.

Does anyone have an idea on how I could reach “/category” and actually create a page here? Right now it will give me a 404 if I type it in manually.

    Thanks in advance ??

  • Hi @kimdrew2019,

Thanks for getting in touch, and thank you for using Kale!

WordPress doesn’t really include a page to display all categories by default, but you may be able to use a plugin for this. One that looks like it may work (although I haven’t used it personally) is here:

    Best of luck!

    Hi Steven,

thank you for getting back to me on this.
I will take a look at the plugin, that may work, thanks ??

Would I be able to place this on the “/category” URL though? I can’t seem to figure out how to create a page with this URL. Or would I just have to create a page with this name via “pages”? I thought that this URL might already exist somewhere, since all categories run on kimdrew.de/category/travel for example?!

    Thank you ??

    Hi @kimdrew2019,

That’s correct…you would just need to create the page under Pages > Add New, set the title, and then after publishing the page, you would need to double check the permalink for the page to ensure that it was exactly what you wanted.
