Category Option List doesn’t work when ‘All Items’

  • If I tick the ‘All Items’ check box for the Category Item as an Option list (Two options, Advanced and Intermediate’) the drop-down option box appears on the webform, but it is not possible to select an item (nothing happens on clicking). If the ‘All Items’ box is unchecked the drop down appears in each line and IS clickable.

    I’m unable to reproduce this, so I suspect there may be something else going on here besides just using “all items” for a dropdown.

    You may be able to find a useful error message in the javascript console. In Chrome or Firefox you can do this by right-clicking on the dropdown, selecting “inspect” and then clicking the “Console” tab.

    If that does not help, you may want to try testing this out with a brand new webform, using a layout that contains only the dropdown, then adding new fields and/or restrictions one by one.

    Or there could be an interaction with your theme or another plugin. The usual advice there is to disable all other plugins to see if the issue disappears, then re-enable them one by one to find out which is the problem.

    As you suggested, have started again with a new minimal webform and it seems to work OK this time! Not sure what issue was previously.
