    Hi there,

    Awesome plugin.

I created a CPT called Videos and created a bunch of them.

Then, I went to enable a custom taxonomy and applied it to the Videos post type.

However, it won’t allow me to categorized the CPTs under that new taxonomy.

Here is a screenshot showing the post quick edit with no option to add a category to the post.

It seems like it might be creating the taxonomy as “tags” because when I view the custom taxonomy list with no categories yet created, it shows a string that says something like “No tags found.”

Thank you kindly for your assistance.

    Hi @brandonfire

For the quick edit, there should be a “Show in quick/bulk edit panel.” true/false dropdown option for the taxonomy. It defaults to false, and you’ll want to update to say true.

For the category vs tag detail, if you want the taxonomy to behave like categories, where you get the checkbox list, and can assign parent/child relationships, you’ll want to set the “hierarchical” setting to true for the taxonomy. Otherwise, it’ll behave more like tags with the text input that you type into and it’ll make some autosuggestions.
