Category mapping must be done prior to import?

    I have downloaded CSV file from one of suppliers and their categories and ours are different and in this case, do I have to re-map our categories according to supplier’s prior to import the file?

    do I have to re-map our categories according to supplier’s prior to import the file?

    You can map their categories to yours with our taxonomy mapping section, see: https://d.pr/i/GyUWis. Note that if your categories use custom slugs (like a category named “Shirts” with a custom slug of “clothes-shirts” instead of “shirts”), then you should map to those slugs instead of their names.
