Category listing problem..

OK,
I’ve a main category “Cuisines” and a subcategory “Asian”. I posted a recipe, categorized under “Asian”.
The problem:
My sidebar didn’t shows any of those categories (“Cuisines” and “Asian”). I use <?php wp_list_cats(‘sort_column=id’); ?> to list my categories.What I want:
I want BOTH “Cuisines” and “Asian” show up in my sidebar. ANY help?More info:
