    Hi,

    so I’m struggling with this quite some time now, and can not figure it out. Basically what I want to do is make a homepage where I ‘list’ all (or some) of the categories from the website, so people can click through there. I see this on many other sites, but I just cant figure out how to do it.

    I tried the gutenberg ‘category list’ block but also the Blocksy ‘category’ block. With both I have no option to add an image, it is just the name of the category with a link to the specific category, that’s it.

    So basically: how can I get a ‘list’ with images of categies, that you can click (and maybe some text too, like the category summary) on my homepage? Thanks!

    I’m really sorry, but providing site building services isn’t something that we can offer at the moment.

    I would recommend checking out some tutorial videos on YouTube that showcase how to build pages (and other components), like this one here — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te7aHH7trts. You should be able to grasp how to work with the editor after checking out these tutorials.

    P.S.: I’m not sure of what “Blocksy category block” you’re speaking of, but I can guarantee that we do not have something like that.

    That is also not what I’m asking for. Just on what kind of module or extension I need to achieve this.

    But basically what you’re saying is that this is just build with a page builder? I do know how to work with them. I can obviously add an image and put a link and button there, but I’d think there is a theme block for that.

    And that’s weird. I mean the blocksy companion plugin, it provides these extra blocks. One of them is categories.

    Indeed, this would require page building skills and possibly plugins.

    Though, if you can show us what is the “category” block from Blocksy Companion, it would be much helpful to figure out what is that you’re asking.

    Ah I had no idea. Thought there was something automatic like that (lol, oops).

    Anyways, then I’ll just do it that way. Thank you!

    Oh and about the ‘category’ block, I just meant the widget, but I have no idea if thats the correct naming, though.

    Yes, in many cases, things like these require manual building.

    Also, there’s still no “category” widget inside of the Companion plugin :D. Are you sure that comes from our end?
