but i would like to know why https://www.theentrepreneurbusiness.com/?p=123 (default works) and https://www.theentrepreneurbusiness.com/hello-and-welcome doesn’t? i read somewhere we can change it to that to personalize it.

Assuming your host supports mod_rewrite and you’ve delete your .htaccess file and updated permalinks again, then review Using_Permalinks for more info.
