    Hi all,

    Looking for a way to resize product category images, I realize I am able to resize product images from appearance, woocommerce, product images, however this is not doing the job for me as you can see if you look at my website, I tried this plugin (Simple Image Sizes) which was supposed to do the job, however it seems to only work on product images, I am using storefront theme with boutique child theme, any help would be massively appreciated.

  • Hello,

    You can change category thumbnail size under Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images > Thumbnail cropping. This should change the size of category image thumbnails too.

    Ok, in that case, the issue may be caused be a plugin. Could you disable all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if images show properly? If that resolves the issue, then re-enable plugins one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    Even with all plugins deactivated I have the same issue.

    Is there any chance that the images I’m using are too small?
    if so is there any way that they can be automatically stretched to fill the space?
    is there a way to center the problematic images and have white space around it to fill the image out to the border?

    It seems that any rectangular images fail to resize correctly, the square images seem to be working fine.

    I see that you’ve set the custom aspect ratio to 300:300 which is the same as 1:1. What happens if you choose 1:1?
