Category ID 3 in Sidebar with Post Title

    **warning warning newbie alert!**
    Hi, I want to create a block on my sidebar with just one category heading and a list of the posts underneath it. I have tried a number of widgets and plugins but something seems to have changed with version 2.5 as they don’t seem to be working.

    Is there an easy way of having this:
    DIRECTORY (Cat ID 3)
    Post 1
    Post 2 (alphabetical)
    … in the sidebar please?

    HI someone IRL directed me to the CPL plugin by Scott Reilly. Still a nightmare to put a simple Category based index up, but resolved. ??
