category filter box only a few pixels wide

    I have a problem with the category filter on the main events dashboard page. The width of the box is about 10px or something, and there aren’t any categories to choose from when you hit the drop down arrow.

    Here’s a screen shot

    It wasn’t like this when I first installed events manager. I deactivated all other plugins and changed to the 2014 theme but it stays the same.

    Any ideas anyone?

    can I know if you enable events categories or do you have an existing event categories ?

    Event categories are enabled, but I did import a lot of events from another site, I don’t remember importing event categories, but they have all appeared as in the other site

    that might be the reason, maybe you can try to edit the events and then assign a category ?

    It worked. I deleted all the events and then the categories, then created a new event and gave it a new category. Now the filter box is back to normal. So thanks for that, but do you have any idea how to avoid this happening again? Was there something I did wrong in the importation process?

    I think it’s likely to have been connected with the import process. How did you do it?

    All I did was export from another site, chose ‘events’ as the type of post to export, and then imported them using the wordpress importer.

    The thing is, I’m pretty sure that there was the filter box was fine to begin with, although I can’t say that 100%, more like 90% certain.

    The categories were all imported along with the events, or at least they seemed to appear at the same time

    From your description and screenshot it looks like either the categories weren’t exported / imported correctly, or they were but didn’t get assigned correctly when imported.
