    OK, this is a follow-up on today’s review. I like the Category Exclude idea, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve created a new Category called “AdExclude” and assigned posts to it. Then I’ve gone into WP Insert, clicked on InPost Ads, clicked on Rules, scrolled down to Single Posts and added “AdExclude” to the Category Exceptions. I then previewed the post which I’ve put into AdExclude, but the InPost ad is still there … is that because the post is scheduled but not published?

    Nope. Put it in a published post, but still the ad appears.

    Exclude “AdExclude” category in “Single Post – Category Exceptions” as well as in the “Category Archives – Exceptions”. If the ads are still showing temporarily switch the theme to twenty fifteen to make sure its not a theme issue. If it works on Twenty Fifteen its a theme issue else we will have to wait for more reports to come in so that I can pinpoint the issue.

    Yeah, I made a solution. I added the following to my stylesheet and wrapped my no advertising posts in <div class=”noad”>
    </div>.

    .noad .wpInsertInPostAd {
    display:none;
    }

    Are you on 2.1.2. If yes please share the URL to a post where this happens so that I can try to figure out the issue.

    Thanks for answering.

    Here’s an article of the category “Oportunidades” (There should be the banner of the beginning and in the middle)

    Also the category where any article should contain banners

    Here is an article categorized “AdExclude”. There should be no in-article ad.

    Still havent been able to reproduce this on my test installations. Will definelty push an update when I get to reproduce the problem somewhere.

    Before the funky upgrade, things worked better. If I hadn’t found the CSS workaround, I’d be pushing for a rollback.

    Anything new plugin ?, I really like and would be a shame to remove this widespread problem

    Update to Version 2.1.4 and this issue should be resolved…

    Hi

    I am using the last version of the plugin with a child theme of Twenty Thirteen theme, but the category exceptions are not working for me.
    Today I added one category exception for Single Post and Category Archives but in both cases the ads still appear. I also changed the theme to Twenty Fifteen but the exception is not working neither.
    What can I do?

    Hi

    I installed the plugin in a local site with the Twenty Fifteen theme the and I deactivated the other plugins. The exception is working at the Category Archives but is not at the Single Post of the category.

    Category Exception for the category archives and single posts are done via two different options.

    1) Archives : Set via the Categories Section
    2) Single Post : Set via the Category option in the Single Posts Section.
