Category dropdown with parent cateogry [ hierarchy structure ]

Just wanted to +1 the request for hierarchical structure within the drop down box for taxonomy.

Please update to the latest version, there are quite a few changes and improvements so you may need to make some modifications to your shortcode once upgraded – just check the changelog to see if it will affect you.

There is now support for hierarchical taxonomies – please check the docs and examples!

soibamchetan, there is now support for filtering by date (using a standard html5 date input) and also ordering the taxonomy terms.

Will consider including your other suggestions in a future update.

Oh and just a note – in your documentation, your code examples still contain “taxonomies” instead of “fields”: [searchandfilter taxonomies=”search,category,post_tag,post_format”]
