Category Description Field

Attributes are for events or locations, not categories.
Depending on what you want to achieve, using one of the available hooks can help you too.

I’d like to donate to have a feature added so I can continue with EME updates. If you are willing, please quote me a cost and time frame to add a description field for categories in addition to the current name field.

What I’m trying to do might help explain. When we enter events we have short codes for our event categories. I use the events front end and have created my own form to enter events and would like to setup a choice list for categories using our short codes (new description field).
I’m open to any other suggestion you have to accomplish this task.

Also, I’m not really sure what you mean, but you can choose the category in the frontend submit form too, and using the available frontend-submit filters, you can limit that to the list of your choice.
