    2 things you really should do

    1. In General > Settings > Permalinks set it to something othe than default and save the setting.
    2. Update to WP 3.6.1, there’s a lot new especially newer jquery and other things. Besides, it really can be a security risk. Anything properly coded should still work.

    You should also try testing with a default theme like TwentyTwelve just to make sure your theme doesn’t have any conflicts.

    Worth repeating, merci beaucoup. Not sure how Permalinks works but will have to read up on it. Again, thanks for quick resolution.
