CATEGORY CHILDREN VS PARENTS

Hello,

I am Still testing the plugin. I only want the parents category to be displayed on shop page as default. But it displays all category including children.
Even if I put define the “exclude categories” it still displays them.
My category do not have number id. I specify the names of the category i do not want to display and it still displays everything.
How can I resolve this issue.
