Category changes not "sticking"

  • I have imported posts and pages an categories from one blog to a new installation of wordpress. However, the categories for each post didn’t come through AND I can’t change the categories of the imported posts from “Uncategorized”. I’ve tried on several posts and the change just doesn’t “stick.” I’ve tried using the “quick edit” option for the post AND the regular “edit” option.

    The posts remain as “Uncategorized” — anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

    Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts as to why I can’t change the category of a post? It happens with new and old/imported posts. I also tried adding a new category thinking it might have been an issue with the imported categories, but that isn’t working either.

    Any ideas?
