Category Change after Expire – WordPress 5.0

  • Issue didn’t pop up until system updated to WordPress 5.0…

    When I setup a new post with following specs.
    Example:

    Category Currently: 1
    Expire: 1/1/2019
    On Expire: Replace Category
    Category New on Expire: 2

    When I save the post, it saves the cetegory to “2” at that point. I’m sure it is something new with the 5.0 version..

  • Hmm, I just tried this and set it to replace “Cat 1” with “Cat 2” at expire time. When I published the post, it was set to “Cat 1” correctly. When expiration came around, things were updates correctly to be only “Cat 2”.

    Can you provide any more detail?
