• Hello friends, I made the mistake of creating a page for one of the categories on my site. Pure ignorance of mine.
Now I learned to customize all archive pages.
But I have a problem, if I delete the page I created for a specific category in my blog, the archive of that category is NOT FOUND.

what do i need to do to restore the default?
    The other categories are working.
But the category I created the page is not working.

    my website: colyda.com

and the category that is not working is: TRAVEL.

    colyda.com/category/travel – NOT FOUND

other categories work, for example: https://www.colyda.com/category/budget-travel

    thanks so much!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Do you actually have a POST filed under this TRAVEL category?

I dug into all your posts, but I didn’t find any.

If you don’t, you’ll need to put a post in the category before you’ll get the archive page to work.

If you do have posts in the category already, please provide the URL of one such post so I can take a look.

I have no posts in this category. because it’s my main category.
but i wanted an archive page with all posts from this main category.
    I don’t know if I can explain.

I have primary categories inside the travel category

No no I get it, but … if you don’t have any posts in a category, WordPress will not generate an archive page. So you do have to have posts for the category archive to work like that.

Neither of those warnings are related.

If you go to https://thepetnewspaper.com/category/cats that shows what WordPress is meant to show. The category of “cats” has posts.

do you know how to show only primary category on list of terms?

for example: my entire site is showing CAT CAT TRAINING.

i’d like to show only CAT TRAINING on thumbnails.

can anyone knows how to solve it?
