Difficult to say without having access to the queries being made and the request types for each.

In this case, changelab looks to be a page, and you’ve somehow injected that into the permalinks for the term archives, correct?

I suspect what theme you use doesn’t matter unless a given them is somehow affecting the queries as well.

Which parts of the URLs represent the custom taxonomy? Specifically the name field you registered it with, as compared to terms within the taxonomy?

    Thanks for the response.

I can give you access if you like!

I supplied a page referencing the custom taxonomy via a query yes. However it was the one post assigned to the custom taxonomy that shows zero results if you select both a subcategory or tag. As I said this happened too on the default WP theme 2023, it’s not strictly theme-dependant.

I suspect what theme you use doesn’t matter unless a given them is somehow affecting the queries as well.

This really is out of my field of experience. But as I said above 2 themes yielded the same lack of results assigned to posts within the custom taxonomy.

Sorry, this is a little too technical for me (I’m more a designer) – is this what you were referring towards? https://webdesigner.org.za/dev/changelab/category/change-management-insights/digital-transformation-change-management-insights/

Pending confirmation, but after reviewing and getting clarification on the URLs, it is likely a case of we needed to get the custom post type as part of the category/tag archive queries, which we’ve documented how to do at https://docs.pluginize.com/article/post-types-in-category-tag-archives/
