Hi there – amazing plugin – so simple to set up!

I’m creating a website which lists golf competitions. The data is submitted by golf clubs and stored in Airtable. Each club submits:

    • Golf club name
    • Contact details
    • Image
    • Location (category)
    • Course type (category)
    • Competition
      • Competition name
      • Competition date
      • Competition type (category)
      • Competition format (category)
      • Gender (category)
      • Price

    What I’d like to do…

    • Create pages for each location, which lists all competitions happening at clubs in those locations in date order. There are +80 locations.
    • Create pages for each competition type, which then lists competitions from all clubs within that type on the page.
    • Create a page for each club, which lists all of their competitions in date order.

There are possibly several hundred different golf clubs, and a few thousands competitions.

I’m struggling to understand how I could set this up. This is maybe not specific to the plugin but I thought it would be a good place to ask.

    Any advice on approach welcome!

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us,

Our Air WP Sync plugin, in its PRO or PRO+ version, can certainly assist you in importing the necessary data from Airtable to your WordPress site. Here’s a general approach you can consider:

    1. Organize Your Airtable Database: Ensure that your Airtable database is structured with separate tables / attributes for clubs, competitions, and any other categories you need. This will make it easier to manage and sync the data.
    2. Create Custom Post Types and Fields: In WordPress, you can create custom post types for clubs, competitions, and locations using a plugin like Custom Post Type UI. Then, use Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or a similar plugin to create custom fields that match your Airtable columns (e.g., Golf club name, Contact details, Competition name, etc.).
    3. Set Up Air WP Sync Connections: With the PRO or PRO+ version of our plugin, you can create connections to sync each Airtable table with its corresponding custom post type in WordPress. You can map Airtable fields to WordPress custom fields during this process.

If you need further assistance or have specific questions about setting up the plugin or organizing your data, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Kind Regards,

    Cristian
