Categories Widget: Parent categories do not call up permalinks

  • Hi everyone,

    I’m using the standard Categories Widget on a 3.1 installation, Display as Dropdown, Show Post Counts and Show Hierarchy are all checked.

    When I select a category that has children from the dropdown, the URL in the address bar is blabla.com/?cat=15 and when I choose a category without children, the expected URL shows (blabla.com/category/widgets/blue/)

    Is there something I can do to get the “nice” urls all the time?

    I did some more tests, and this happens only happen when Display as Dropdown is selected.

    Any ideas?
