Categories sort order keeps reverting

    I’ve seen a few posts with this problem but no solution.

    I’m working on a gallery page. I needed to manually sort on three levels: Artist, Artist Category and Works. After successfully sorting everything, I noticed that the middle level Artist Category had reverted to the same order it had before sorting. And now everytime I change the order on the Artist Categorie it reverts back on reloading the page. I am certain it worked the first time around – now it doesn’t.

    Any idea why?

    @saschaprinzip please try the latest version released and confirm me if it is working as expected now?

    Also please consider one thing, categories, even after reordering, will remain in their relevant group. It will not happen that a sub-category of main-category “A” will starting appearing under another main-category “B”.

    I’m sorry, I’m afraid this didn’t work. Still shows the same behaviour of reverting after reloading.

    Thank you very much.

    I now tried to replicate your behaviour and added new categories and sub-categories the same way you did. The result was that the first reordering of the categories was kept. Every new try to sort those new categories again failed.

    And as I said in the beginning, the reordering of all the categories on the site worked at first. It was the next day that the old order showed up again. So I’m wondering how long this order of the new categories I just made will hold.

    @saschaprinzip please use the help tab on settings page so I can check your issue in details with you, I have tried it again on my localhost and still reordering is correct.
