Yes, I’ve also identified this issue.

Here’s a temporary, and dirty, solution that worked for me, but will likely brake some stores. Obviously this will be overwritten by the next plugin update, but hopefully the next update will also fix the issue.

In wp-content/plugins/genesis-connect-woocommerce/lib/template-loader.php,
on line 274, comment out woocommerce_product_subcategories();
Like so:
<?php /* woocommerce_product_subcategories(); */ ?>

Thank you for reporting this. It is also being tracked at https://github.com/copyblogger/genesis-connect-woocommerce/issues/15 so a fix can be prepared.

The upcoming WooCommerce 3.3.1 update will also contain a fix for this issue. For now, you can update the template-loader.php file in Genesis Connect by following these steps:

1. Take a backup of your site.

2. Save the updated Genesis Connect template file at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/copyblogger/genesis-connect-woocommerce/376a864d89d82efc166cd26088864532a4390475/lib/template-loader.php.

3. Using an FTP application, replace the file at wp-content/plugins/genesis-connect-woocommerce/lib/template-loader.php with the one you saved in step 2.

With any caches cleared, you should no longer see the categories on your shop page with the new file in place.

Genesis Connect 0.9.10 is now live with a fix for this category issue.
