Categories showing in 3 columns – small problem

the code divides the categories into three parts – if you have more than 30 categories, you will have more than 10 categories per column.

I have 30 and it’s showing 11-11-8. When I have 29 it’s showing 10-10-9. Is there any way to regulate it or any better script.

possibly caused by the ceil function in this line:

$cats_per_list = ceil($results_total / 3);

try to use round instead:

$cats_per_list = round($results_total / 3);
