Categories returning error 500

  • I have 13 Categories in my directory and 104 listings. All the categories work fine except for 2. Both return: This page isn’t working sayitwithhemp.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500
    I tried remaking the category but it made no difference. Can’t see anything different about those 2 categories.

    What is wrong and how do I fix it?

    From memory, the problem ones are the first and third listed categories.

    Really appreciate your attention to these little niggles. It is a great PLUS for this excellent plugin. Thank you.

    That “plus” I gave 2 weeks ago has turned into a burning “minus”.

    I have logged 3 or 4 issues here and none are being addressed even though at least one was promised “within the week”.

    Please can I get some support?

    It looks like your site is throwing internal server errors on random category requests. You may need to notify your host. I’ll try to have our programmer take a closer look next week.

    I made a bit of a fool of myself on chat; it quickly became obvious that I didn’t really know what I was asking the guy. I haven’t tried again and just decided to see if it would correct itself.

    It doesn’t seem random to me as (while the others open correctly) the same two categories open as blank pages:

    Can you give me a more specific description of what I am asking the hosting people to check, please?

    When I first posted, they were giving an error 500 but today the page returned is blank and the page source is also blank

    I also tried setting up a new category and connecting the same 3 to it. The new category with the same 3 pages in it also returns an error 500 (today it’s back to the error page).

    So I am not convinced that this a random issue. The same Directory pages throw the 500; my concept of random leads me to feel that a variety of Directories should be throwing 500s at “random”.

    Is that not a logical view?
