• I’m using slugs and have categories enabled. The issue I have is if I setup a new category and then post to it, all the posts from other categories can also be seen rather than just the single post from the category, which is what should happen.

    Thanks in Advance

On what page is this happening? The main index should show all posts, all cats.

It is happening on the new category page i.e.

    mysite.com/category/new-category-name

The slugs setup for other parts of the site do not show up in the blog categories which is correct. I have a blog category that does show all posts, and then I setup two new categories but they also seem to be showing all posts.

The old cat pages work fine, I’m presuming.

Did you make custom category pages?

Actually the existing categories (only 2 including uncategorized) for the blog part of the site have the same problem i.e. they show 4 posts but list all the posts on the site.

Yes, custom category pages were made. I’m figuring I have an error in the template somewhere but cannot see it.

    Thanks

You nailed it on the head. If all cat pages are broken, then you probably got something wrong there.

Put your category.php code up on https://wordpress.pastebin.com/ ?
