Categories pointing to subdomains?

  • Hi,

    I am building a new website which will have a lot of subdomains. So how do I make WordPress categories point to subdomains?

    Let’s say my domain is website.com. For SEO reasons, I want to have things like:

    • news.website.com
    • hobbys.website.com
    • books.website.com

    How do I make the category news point to the subdomain news.website.com, books category to books.website.com, etc?

    Its very simple, wherever you are placing, news, books or website, just place the link of your sub domain in the href link instead of actually category links.
    Thing to note over here, you don’t need to create categories in the parent domain, that can be handle by creating custom links from the menu if you are placing things in the menu.
