Categories parent is not showing

Are you talking about posts in the post type being a “category” or are you talking about the actual category taxonomy that WordPress comes with?

As long as the hierarchical option is set to true for the post type, you should be able to create parent/child relations with the post type, but you would need to have at least 2 posts published as well.

Otherwise, I’m not quite sure what you’re referring to, and would need more information

i’ve created the by using cutom post type zishtastories is a CPT by your plugin on below image

after that there is only name,slug,description was presented. where is the option to select parent . i want to create sub categories under Kitchen Cookware category .if you check https://cmsonlive.com/zishta/ url now i added as custom link under categories-> Kitchen Cookware . like that i want .i’ve enabled the hierarchicaloption too.

Hmm. Not quite sure, because setting hierarchical to true should be providing the “Parent” dropdown.

Something to check with your case:
Are you possibly registering the same taxonomy elsewhere via your theme’s functions.php file or a custom plugin that does some registration? I’ve seen cases of registration being attempted in multiple places with different results.

i was checked, before i didnt give the hierarchical true for taxonomies. i given only for post type. after given of true to taxonomies parent option is shown now
