Hi, i have created two different post types (Our Barber, Our Services). I have added the Taxonomies(Categories) to both post type. Now when i add a new category for one post type(e.g our barber) it automatically adds that category to all the other posts type. If i delete the category it delete the same category from all the posts type. it seems like all the posts type have only single Taxonomies(categories). how do i fix it?

Are you talking in regards to available terms for the taxonomy, where you could add that same term to a post in one of the other post types? or do you mean it assigns a given term to all posts in the post type at the same time?

I think the first one is generally how WordPress works, since the terms are from the same taxonomy. It’ll still list them all, regardless of which post type menu created it originally.

Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s default for how WordPress works with regards to a single taxonomy on multiple post types.

If you’re wanting each listing of terms to be isolated to just one post type and not cross-sharing, may not be a bad idea to create individual taxonomies for each, and then make use of “Categories” and “Category” etc for the labeling.

Perhaps taxonomy slugs of “barber_cats”, “service_cats” etc.
