    Hi, I have a problem in the backend.

    I can create new categories, but for some reason I can’t access them. Instead I’m shown a ‘No categories found’ text, eventhough above that text is another which says ‘5 Items’ meaning that 5 categories exist. Here is a link to an image.

    I have checked the screen options. I have also already checked for plugin/theme conflicts and neither appears to be the case. In fact, the only plugin i’m using right now is the woocommerce plugin and the theme is the ‘storefront’ theme developed specifically by automaticc for woocommerce.

    Can you help?

    I have also checked the status settings and everything looks fine.

    Hi there,

    That does indeed sound pretty odd ??

    To troubleshoot this further, please do the following:

    • Share a screenshot of your Products page found at Products > All Products. I’m specifically checking whether any of your products are already assigned to a category;
    • Share a copy of your system status report as found under **WooCommerce > System Status**
    • Run the “Recount Terms” tool as found under **WooCommerce > System Status > Tools**

    Thanks!

    Hi, I have Recounted the terms but the problem is still there. Also, I cannot assign any categories to my products because they don’t appear to available.

    As for the system Status, can you send me your email and I can forward you the login details for my development site. It would be easier to check that way.

    Thank you very much

    Hi there,

    If sharing the report or screenshots are feasible here then I’d recommend getting in touch with a web developer to log into your site to take a closer look. The nature of forum support is that personal details like email addresses aren’t possible here ??

    In case you don’t have easy access to a web developer, you could also consider making use of one of our experts at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

    We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
