Since upgrading to ver 3.3.3 woocommerce my site no longer shows product categories.

e.g. https://h-dev.co.uk/product-category/350z/ – should show subcategories which then contain products. Now I just get 12 products and can’t see any subcategories.

Any help gratefully received – need to get this sorted asap!

I’m having the exact same issue after the update. Have you found a solution yet? I’ve looked and seen that we’re not alone with this issue but still haven’t seen a fix posted anywhere.

Yes. A friend of mine fixed it.

function woocommerce_maybe_show_product_subcategories() —

At the top of the function

if ( wc_get_loop_prop( ‘is_shortcode’ ) && ! WC_Template_Loader::in_content_filter() ) {

^ I don’t really know what that means or does, but it was TRUE, so it was getting inside that if() statement, and, once inside it was simply

return $loop_html;

And that’s it. $loop_html was blank, thus no categories.

I’ve simply commented out that single line, so it doesn’t return $loop_html, thus it continues with the rest of the function as before

Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Products Catalog has some settings that you should check.

If those settings don’t do what they should, then your theme or another plugin is causing a conflict. Directly editing the code in WooCommerce core isn’t a good long term solution.
