I use the latest versions of WordPress, Yoast SEO and twenty twelve theme. In this theme I have the ability to provide a title and description for each category in the search engines and a separate text for showing on the website.

The title and description are not properly indexed by Google. Of the 277 categories, only three have been indexed and the breadcrumbs of these three categories are displayed differently. See: site:www.razenberg.nl/categorie

The three indexed categories each point to the correct visitor page. You also see at the top of each page the text I wrote for the visitors.

However, you don't see the correct breadcrumb trail. Something seems to be wrong there. In addition, relatively few categories are indexed. Is there a solution for these two problems?

(The website exists almost twenty years and almost 1000 posts have been indexed by Google.).

Regarding your concern with the breadcrumb path, the links below the search results are automatically generated by Google based on your site structure. Unfortunately, It’s not based on any Yoast SEO settings, so you can’t select how the links appear. You can learn more about it here —?https://yoast.com/breadcrumbs-seo/

To address this, we suggest the following actions:

    1. Clear all your caching from your theme, plugin, server, CDN like CloudFlare or browser. If you are not sure how to clear caching from theme/plugin please speak to those authors. If you want to clear cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser use this guide: https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/

    2. Delete your sitemap in Google. Doing so will not hurt the SEO of the site. This guide explains more (scroll to the bottom): https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/183669?hl=en.

    3. Submit the sitemap again. Be sure to submit only sitemap_index.xml and nothing else.

It can take some time before Google shows the changes in the search results.
